Hello,

I'm building a studio and looking into whether an observation window is absolutely necessary. The other solution for visual communication between the studio and control room is a camera and VDU in each room. The original reason for considering not having a window system was due to expense, but then I discovered various design benefits of using the VDUs instead. The only negatives for VDUs I have found in books and forums, is that the monitors give off a high frequency and there may be electromagnetic disturbance from having them near unbalanced equipment (I think that's right anyway). If I have clear distance between the VDU and effected equipment, and I box in the VDU somehow to isolate the high frequencies, are there any more disadvantages of using VDUs / advantages of using an observation window system?

Please help

I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
